Project meetings will resume next semester

Project meetings for the remainder of this semester have been postponed to allow for more planning to take place. We're currently seeking motivated individuals who would like to take a role in leading the initial planning stages of the Myo armband project. CANCELED: Dr. Berthiaume's Talk

Dr. Berthiaume cannot attend his talk on 3/7. As a result, our next meeting will be on March 21st, 7pm, in the Busch Student Center room 115. We will have elections on that day so if you wish to run, please fill out the application here by March 14, 11:59 pm and prepare a short speech as well.

Dr. Li Cai - Stem Cells in Bioengineering

Hello all. On February 8, Dr. Li Cai presented his research on neural stem cells and the exact genes that control the differentiation/proliferation mechanism to mature neurons using bioinformatics and genetically modified lab rats. 

Because of the snow today, there will be no meeting today. Next meeting will be on 2/22 from 7-8 pm at BSC-115. It will be project meeting that may have computer engineering students who will teach us how to compile a C++ code.

Myo Armband Project Meeting (11/16)

Hello all, We covered a few important topics during our first official project meeting. The main goal of our project is to use data from the Myo armband to control a device. The most important development during this meeting is that the project group will be splitting into multiple subcommittees (listed below) focusing on important aspects that need to be completed in order to accomplish the final goal of the project.

RUSMEO S.T.E.M Outreach

Hello all. At the RUSMEO event today, Ian, Bharani and I educated elementary students on the basic muscle mechanics of the bicep and triceps. We constructed simple arm models made up of balsa wood sticks, yarn, rubber bands, tape and straws, providing kids a kinesthetic experience of biomechanics.
