We also hosted representatives from Kaplan Inc. for tips in preparing for the GRE and MCAT, and last year we collaborated with the Minority Engineering Educational Task in an outreach event focused on providing an introduction to various STEM-related fields to high school seniors through a hands-on project in which students built a functional model of a human arm.
Throughout the semester, we've also been using MATLAB as a tool for modeling of simple physical phenomena, including pendulums and springs.
We're excited to host many similar events this year. In addition, we recently purchased a Myo Gesture Armband Controller, and we look forward to giving students the ability to develop interesting applications for this technology!
